In Lust…

That has nothing to do with anything… expect that damn saying In Lust We Trust has been stuck on repeat in my head for a week now. I have no idea why, or from whence (I’ll be damned, it’s really a word) it came…. but the bottom line is that I’m a writer by nature, and I find words appealing….. and sentence structure, layout… etc… fascinate me. So…. from time to time, words, sentences, sayings and lyrics will get stuck in me noggin and bounce around in there for days.

I will say though, that as of late… I’ve been feeling a bit saucier then I normally sashay around feeling. Who knew that in the midst of all things chaotic, that I’d bring sexy back. ha.. meow. Anyway.. I mainly just wanted to come over here and say that I think Obama is brilliant. Everytime I read something he’s done or said lately, I can’t help but want to simultaneously hug & high-five him.

This is an exert from yesterday’s press conference (after naming Clinton, Secretary of State)

“At yesterday’s news conference, however, questions focused less on policy than on how the eclectic personalities standing behind Obama and in front of American flags — particularly Clinton, Gates and Jones — would mesh. Asked how he would avoid having a “clash of rivals” rather than the smoothly functioning team he portrayed, Obama said he expected “vigorous debate” and described himself as “a strong believer in strong personalities and strong opinions.”

“One of the dangers in the White House, based on my reading of history,” Obama continued, “is that you get wrapped up in groupthink and everybody agrees with everything and there’s no discussion and there are no dissenting views.”

YES! Sometimes, the right answers lay in the outcome of heated arguments.. not in the casually passive agreements. The same concept could be applied to relationships as well.  Anyway.. that’s my deep thought for the day. I’m off to spread my minxish ways (not really..haha.. I’ve just been working or at the gym, and trust me- those people are immune to my kitten like sassiness.. haha)

OH.. and how funny is that Nina Simone song on my profile right now? She suckered me in with the rhythm…. which is all soulful and upbeat like.. then when I listened to the lyrics, I realized it had some heavy bible mo-jo laced in it…. haha.. tricky, trickkkkyyy Nina…
