So I had a bit of a hissy fit yesterday. I’m not sorry but I will admit that I had one. Random side note, my dreams the last week have bounced back and forth from Derby to the Ocoee river. It’s the river in Tenn, that my Mom and I basically lived on for years. It’s been so strange. I’ve dreamt about the after work volleyball games, the firework wars (I was once chased by 2000 saturn missles. That sucks, FYI.) I’ve relived hiking through through the woods, swimming in the natural pools, and the pre-trip excitement that never seems to go away. For derby, I actually dream it all in sequence. Some of it’s from my own experiences, some of it’s been like watching someone else’s memories. So weird but still visual. Rollercon is coming up again. When it hits, I’ll be super pregnant… so since the events in Vegas… and all the fun’s on skates (for the most part.. when not roaming around) it looks like I’ll be missing it again this year. Bah. I found my skates though, I can’t decide if I like the R3′s better or the Wicked.. but there purdy.

That’s all I got. I’m hungry and ready breakfast. I wish today could be either spent at the rink or hiking somewhere. I can’t wait till it’s really warm, since having rediscovered Lake Lanier island.. I have every intention of spending time up there.

   We have a derby team here in OKC – been intending to go see them sometime.

   Digital image manipulation is a serious problem, and the scary thing is it’s really still in its infancy. The capabilities will become vastly more sophisticated as time goes forward. There are legitimate uses – hiding temporary blemishes and so forth, but restraint is a scarce commodity. You expect heavy airbrushing on conventional sites like Playboy, but I’m alarmed at how prevalent it’s becoming on SG.

   Being a race car driver made me intimately familiar with the arms race that always happens when powerful new technology isn’t strictly regulated. And it’s infinitely more difficult to regulate technology after it’s gone into common usage. The realness of the girls is one of SG’s primary, unique attractions. I hope they realize that unlimited photoshopping can become a serious threat to their brand if effective controls aren’t put in place soon.

   It’s totally ok to have a rant every now and then!! I’m surprised that you held it in for so long with out exploding. One of the things that I admire about you is the fact that you speak your mind.
   Hopefully my apartmnet with finially get their shit together and open the pool soon. I know that the water is probally to cold swim in but I do enjoying hanging out by the pool. They said that they are actually going to buy need patio furnature so we won’t have to worry about falling threw the chairs while sun bathing!
   Now all we need is for the rain to let up just a bit so that we can enjoy the great outdoors….
