Well hello there

So it’s been awhile… and looking back at past writings, I find myself thinking… damn… I was one witty lady. Then I find myself thinking… where the hell did THAT chick go?? I feel like all my “bright and shiny” sparkle took a backseat over this last year of Heavy Doom… as I’ll henceforth dub it.

Quick snapshot…
We’ve relocated to the bright beaches of Panama City Beach… but being in a location where we know NO ONE.. other then The Man’s family unit… we’ve yet to truly get out and about and cause some mischief… I feel almost like a fat kid in a candy store, watching all the deliciousness this town has to offer, but unable to access it. I dream of days spent surfing, paddleboarding, skating… swimming, tanning…. and of course, cocktails and seafood… uh.. down by the seashore…. with Sally… and her sea shells. Ha.

In reality… we mostly do the same thing… The Man works, and I tend to the house (poorly) and to the Babe… (amazingly- if I do say so myself… thank you very much) I find comfort in knowing that the kid, won’t stay a toddler forever, and reassure myself, that as time passes, we’ll be able to get out there a lick some of that proverbial candy. Damn, that sounded all kinds of dirty, without even trying. Who knew I still had it in me?! Wait… ah forget it.

Last weekend was a pretty amazing car show… good thing that we had to go back to Atlanta to visit the family! haha.. just wanted to keep in line with us missing all the cool stuff PCB has to offer…. I did see quite a few cars cruising around, that consistently made my head turn.. only to quickly snap back and realize that when flying down the road in The Man’s Durango, with baby on board… oggling cars at 70 mph, might not be in the best interest of any parties involved. Mostly me.. and the Kiddo…. and the Durango.

Over the last year, I’ve learned a lot about parenting, and about losing a parent. One lesson is tons more rewarding then the other. I’ll leave it to you to decide which is which. Ha..
